About this role:
Contributes with R&D engineers, scientists, and/or teams in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment. The Engineering Technician V will also lead project teams and advise the work of lower level technicians which will require an extensive knowledge and independent thinking.


Your responsibilities will include:
  • Contributes to the development of concepts and techniques. Completes complex tasks in creative and effective ways.
  • Plans work completes hands-on building or testing of prototypes, as well as data analysis, and communicates updates to stakeholders.
  • Organizes, coordinates, and executes testing or manufacture of prototypes/materials with minimal engineering guidance, developing or revising test methods as required.
  • Designs and coordinates engineering tests and experiments to map design inputs to design outputs.
  • Leads in Performing Equipment qualifications and validating test methods.
  • Troubleshoots processes and equipment to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Trains/Coaches/Advises team members on the technical aspects of their job including interpreting and rationalizing results (i.e. statistics, DOE).
  • Prepares reports/documentation/project plans to communicate results and recommendations to the technical community.
  • Troubleshoots processes and equipment to resolve complex technical issues
  • Independently communicates project updates with project teams, managers and sponsors.
  • Participates in cross-functional discussions on projects and teams.
  • Ability to work on multiple activities/deliverables while maintaining a high level of engagement and meeting timelines on all.
  • Execute project deliverables, and overall delivery by leading prototyping, specification/Test Method development, and design verification.
  • Identify and deliver required documentation to meet quality systems requirements (e.g., Gage R&R, Validation Protocols, Equipment qualifications, Tech Reports etc.).
  • May train and/or provide work direction to technicians, engineers, and manufacturing personnel when required as part of a validation or cross-training.

Required qualifications:
  • 6 years of experience
  • AA degree or an equivalent combination of education/work experience
