Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
The Radiology Manager works closely with the Regional Radiology Manager, Radiologists and other management staff on the various aspects of managing Radiology and is responsible for managing a section (or sections) of the Radiology Department (CT, US, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, General Radiology, Mammography, and/or support staff). The Radiology Manager is responsible for short-term and long-term planning for staffing, work progress, quality assurance, and equipment maintenance.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Graduate of an Accredited degree in radiography, ultrasound, or nuclear medicine program
Preferred/Optional: Bachelor’s degree in radiography, ultrasound, or nuclear medicine program. Management education in related field.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Five years’ experience in a supervisory position.
Preferred/Optional: Managerial training and membership in AHRA.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire. AART, NMTCB or ARDMS certification.
