Kemps LLC is a subsidiary of Dairy Farmers of America(DFA).Starting wage of $21.50 and full scale at 12 months of $28.83.
Start time of 7pm, Sunday-Thursday.
The Raw Receiver is responsible for managing incoming semi tanker loads of unprocessed milk. The Raw Receiver takes initial temperature and samples of the load through the top opening on the tanker, verifying that it is acceptable for production. Stairs and a platform are utilized to access the top of tankers, using a mandatory safety harness. Once verified, the employee attaches the appropriate hoses to unload the tanker. When unloading is complete, hoses and parts are rinsed with water and the tankers are cleaned with a spray ball. The Raw Receiver is responsible for lowering and attaching the spray ball into the tankers. While tankers are being unloaded and washed, the raw receiver is responsible for pouring various ingredients including 50# bags of powder into the ice cream mixing tanks. Ingredients used are dependent upon production needs, and employee may be required to use a cart or a forklift to retrieve ingredients from the warehouse. The Raw Receiver is also responsible for washing the raw tanks, silos, and lines as needed.
