General Laborer Rebar Steel Department

173 Church Street Wallingford CT 06492 - Monday through Friday and half day Saturday

Temp to Perm: Meaning you will register with a preferred temp service until hired directly by United Concrete Products

1st Shift Hours are 5:00 AM until 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM depending on work load Monday through Friday. Saturday hours are 4:00 AM until 10:00A M. Time and a half pay after 40 hours

Job duties:

• Provide general labor support as needed
• Meet daily/weekly production quota
• Maintain a safe and clean work space
• General tasks around production plant
• Be accustomed to a fast paced environment

Qualifications:

· Prior experience in a manual labor environment preferred but not required.

· Must have the ability to read a tape measure accurately and the ability to add and subtract.

· Must have the ability to read and comprehend basic verbal and written instructions.

· Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

· Be dependable with respect to attendance and tardiness.

· Protective toe footwear is required

· MIG Welding experience a plus

• heavy lifting 50 lbs: 1 year (Preferred)
• Tape Measure Reading: 1 year (Preferred)
• MIG welding: 1 year (Preferred)
