Full Time * Days 8 am – 4 pm * Receivers earn up to $17.50/hour

As a Receiver, a valuable team member, you are responsible for managing the recipt, storage, and distribution of all goods and supplies for our community. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-orienter Receiver to join our team.

Upon delivery of food and supplies, checks goods against purchase order documents. Inspects food for quality and freshness, temperature, correct count and price. Rejects any inferior items prior to signing invoices. Organizes and forwards invoices to the Executive Chef daily.
Alerts Executive Chef and others as to shortages or errors in deliveries. Contacts vendors in emergencies to procure correct items.
Stores food and supplies neatly in proper storage areas. Places perishables in refrigerators or freezers promptly upon receipt.
Rotates stock to ensure items first received are first used. Utilizes dating mechanism. Removes dented cans or other damaged items from stock and places in designated area for return to vendor.
Sweeps, mops and organizes storage areas on a daily basis. Removes empty boxes and debris from walkways. Avoids placing heavy objects on higher shelves.
Ensures stored items meet state standards of no less than 6 inches from floor and 18 inches from ceiling. Avoids placing any items directly n floors.
Checks temperatures in storerooms, refrigerator and freezers areas as assigned. Reports malfunctioning equipment to the manager on duty (or Maintenance department in emergency situations).
Assists Executive Chef in competing inventory and maintaining records for government donated foods as applicable.
Maintains security in storage areas as per department policy.
Practices personal cleanliness, non-slip shoes, wears clean uniforms and hair coverings as per department dress code.
Demonstrates dependability in attendance and completion of job tasks.
Approaches customers and others in a courteous and friendly manner.
Daily cleaning assignments as per schedule and/or as assigned by manager.
Attend scheduled meetings and in-services.
May support , culinary, utility and dish room work.
Completes other duties as requested by Executive Chef/Manager on Duty.
