The Position: We are looking for a part-time Receiving Associate.

Job Summary

Webko of Wausau is looking for a dedicated individual who is interested in a part-time position as a Receiving Associate. The ideal candidate would have at least 1 year of experience in a logistics role. This position is responsible for the shipping, receiving, inspecting, and distributing of product, supplies and equipment to customers, vendors and production departments by performing the following duties.We are willing to teach the appropriate skills.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.*

2. Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.*

3. Packages product adequately to prevent damage during transportation and ensures packages are correctly labeled and all corresponding paperwork and computer records are completed correctly.*

4. Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.*

5. Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.*

6. Ensures that parts are correct according to the print and/or traveler.*

7. Maintains an awareness of the daily shipments scheduled and alerts production to potential late shipments.*

8. Responsible for the proper completion of all manufacturing, inspection, shipping and receiving documentation as required by company policies.*

9. Sets up work area for efficient processing and maximum throughput of jobs.*

10. Reads, understands, and implements all relevant information and instructions included on job travelers and technical drawings.*

11. Identifies visual and dimensional defects and ensures that potential problems are effectively communicated to the department lead or supervisor.*

12. Directs others in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipments, where applicable.*

13. Contributes to any team with which you are working to ensure consistent product and cooperative communication.

14. Identifies and/or cooperates with potential opportunities for efficiency/productivity increases, and cost reduction strategies.

15. Responsible for absolute compliance with safety and PPE requirements.

16. Maintains a clean and organized work area.

17. Strives to assume the company’s commitments as your own and fulfills them with a sense of pride and urgency.

18. Performs other duties as requested by the supervisor.

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)

Physical Requirements

• Lift 25-50 pounds with occasional bending, squatting, twisting, pulling, & stretching.
• Standing, walking, bending and squatting throughout the 4 hour shift.

Hours

• Standard hours are Monday-Friday, 12:00 pm-4:30pm.
