POSITION PURPOSE:


Stocks, maintains, and overseas issues of supplies and materials in Stores and Warehouse areas, and maintains associated files/records in support of plant operations.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


1. Store materials/supplies in appropriate locations according to identifying information to ensure ease of access. Also back up for Receiving Coordinator.

Perform cycle counts, monitor inventory levels and issues, enter all service order receipts (GR’s), follow up stock out issues, evaluate and release daily MRO, evaluate obsolete inventory and dispose of, keep training for all authorized stores users updated and maintain training records for this training, and support all maintenance function


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (CONTINUED):


3. Maintain and store data regarding orders, receipts (GR’s), storage and consumption of stock items.


4. Maintain the Material Master Form files, enter all new materials data and maintain records per record retention rules that apply.


5. Communicate daily with Purchase Order Administrator to ensure on time deliveries and correct any quantity discrepancies or inaccuracies with orders received.


6. Maintain good housekeeping practices. Keep all isles and walkways clear of debris and monitor all area’s for general safety and housekeeping.


7. Maintains computerized inventory and other stock records, prepares periodic reports on same to accurately reflect inventory status.


8. Communicates with personnel in other departments regarding status of inventories and related matters to ensure they are appropriately informed. Maintains harmonious relations with employees and the union shop steward to resolve problems, handles grievances at the first step of the grievance procedure.


9. Actively assist maintenance in all areas. Back-up all ordering and sourcing capabilities done by maintenance management. Enter shopping carts and expense/service type orders when necessary to support maintenance.


10. Back-up Receiving Coordinator position and all functions of that job. Cross train quarterly with this position to stay current on job functions and related tasks.


NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


Support all areas of Maintenance and Production. Generate special reports regarding related matters to support other departments.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:


High school diploma or equivalent certification with minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory position is required as is basic knowledge of hazardous materials handling. Experience in warehouse management desired.


LICENSING/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:


Maintain a valid Fork Lift Operators license, renewable every 3 years

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Telephone, personal computer, printer, standard office supplies, reports, manuals, drawings, copy/scan/email machine, operate fork lift.


WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; in high, precarious places; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.


When entering and while remaining within designated areas of the plant, the employee is required to wear standard safety equipment consisting of approved eye protection, safety shoes and, if applicable, hearing protection.
