Receiving Scheduler:
POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for forecasting and collaborating with the receiving coordinators and logistic planners scheduling OTR and LTL delivery appointments as well as internal transfers and delivery pick ups.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Answer and process requests for delivery appointments via email and phone.
- Coordinates multiple shipping needs between two warehouses.
- Works with internal and external customers to resolve any issues.
- Ensures the accuracy of all bill of ladings, data entry, and documentation.
- Ability to follow procedures and written instructions .
- Resolves any appointment discrepancies immediately.
- Performing duties that meets Company standards for safety, security, and productivity.
SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Checks outbound shipments and readiness for customer delivery.
- Performs additional duties as directed.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution.
- 1-2 years distribution center experience is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Very strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work well independently and in a fast paced, team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Please and processional telephone demeanor.
- Able to adapt and prioritize quickly.
- Creative problem solver and apply common sense understanding instructions.
- Self-motivated, dependable, organized.
- Attention to detail is a MUST!
- Must adhere to all safety rules and requirements.
SCHEDULE:
- Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime.
