Patt & Whitney Amercon manufactures turbine airfoil blades and vanes for military and commercial engines with key expertise on 3 and 5 axis grinding, robotics, welding, heat treatment, air flow testing, penetrant inspections and X-Ray.
We support the F135 engine that exclusively powers the F-35 Lighting II. At 40,000 pounds of thrust, it is the most advanced and powerful jet fighter engine in the world. Additionally, we support numerous commercial engine programs including Pratt & Whitney’s newest Geared Turbofan Engine (GTF) family of engines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operates multiple line telephone console. Receives and relays incoming, outgoing and internal calls. Refers messages to appropriate parties.
- May operate internal paging system.
- Process/register visitors via Visitor Registration system and issue visitor badges. Announces visitors and directs them to proper destination.
- Maintain visitor/contractor records and logs. Verify contractor requirements are met.
- Ensure visitors and contractors follow RTX’s Covid-19 requirements.
- Manage thermal scanning process.
- Provides office support to functional departments, as needed.
- Maintain Iron Mountain records and supplies.
- Refers non-routine questions and inquiries to supervisor.
- Assist with entering routine payables into system. Maintain electronic records and file paper invoices.
- Maintain conference room schedules.
- May perform other clerical duties and tasks.
Basic Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of clerical office or Receptionist experience
- U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
