GENERAL FUNCTION AND JOB DUTIES
Central Piedmont is currently seeking a Records Management Specialist LEIS position that is available in the College and Career Readiness department located on Central Campus, North Building.
Anticipated Hire Date: January 3, 2023
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
Hours per Week: 40
General Function
Processes, validates and preserves documents/records for the department to satisfy accreditation, state auditing, regulatory or other requirements.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
1. Reviews and verifies documents/records for accuracy and audit readiness.
2. Maintains databases for tracking purposes. Follow-up to ensure that required documents/records are received.
3. Serves as liaison for the department with other areas of the college to gather information and resolve issues.
4. Maintains files for documents/records to ensure easy retrieval and access. Files may include but are not limited to Course Information Sheets and official correspondence with regulatory agencies.
5. May trains new personnel on departmental processes, procedures, databases and computer systems.
6. Coordinate with each department to ensure all LEIS sheets are submitted.
7. Check that all students registered in the Basic Studies Program have completed the LEIS sheets.
8. Review student’s information to ensure the LEIS form is completed correctly for correct program placement.
9. Verify student information with program coordinators and instructors to meet college and state deadlines.
10. Review computer information before the final report is run that determines next fiscal year funding.
11. Cross trains as needed.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Characteristics
- Knowledge of computers, desktop office applications and mainframe Access or other database skills.
- Good organizational, communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently, to solve problems and work with details.
- Knowledge of college and departmental procedures.
- Have a team-player outlook
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED with 2 years of experience utilizing computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel gained through completion of formal training or on the job training and 2 years of full-time work experience (or the equivalent in part-time experience) in the field to include record keeping, customer service or database management.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary for this position is $31,473 - $49,383. Pay grade for this position is H. Initial placement for new employees is customarily at entry level through 25% percentile. Contract type is Classified. Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include off-shift hours, evening and weekend assignments may be required of any position. All positions are subject to budget approval.
