Records Specialist

The Records Specialist will facilitate the admissions process and maintain student records. The Records Specialist will be expected to help with planning and hosting graduation ceremonies.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in related field preferred
  • Experience working with students, teachers, and industry
  • Bilingual (Spanish speaking a plus)

  • Must be detail oriented and organized
  • Customer services skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment

JOB DUTIES

  • Knowing the Ranger College catalog.
  • Being knowledgeable of Ranger College programs, locations, operations, resources, faculty, and staff, etc.
  • Processing admission applications with accuracy.
  • Creating and maintaining permanent admission files.
  • Receiving, scanning, and filing all required admission documents.
  • Communicating and/or directing prospective students, applicants, current students, faculty, and staff by phone, email, or in-person.
  • Collaborating with the Dual Credit Director and Assistant Registrar to process Dual Credit students and records.
  • Responding and processing record requests.
  • Processing transcript requests.
  • Archiving, organizing, and maintaining all Ranger College and student records.
  • Maintaining the organization of the vault.
  • Being knowledgeable of processes, policies, and records as the point of contact for Veteran’s Affairs benefits.
  • Maintaining records for Veteran’s Affairs benefits.
  • Assisting the Registrar and Assistant Registrar with special projects as needed.
  • Participating in special campus events.
  • Assisting with the preparation and production of all commencement ceremonies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
