Job Description
LM Restaurant group is seeking talent to join our team as the Recruiting Specialist. What will I be doing?
To assist in the overall operation of Recruiting for LM Restaurant Group People & Culture department. Provide support in the areas of employment, onboarding and Recruiting.
The Recruiter will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization.
Responsibilities
· Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process. Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
· Screen hourly applicants and determine eligibility for employment when department managers have the need. Refer to department manager when appropriate. Execute the employment process.
· Collaborates with managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
· Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.
· Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
· Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other People & Culture staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
· Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
· Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
· Notify managers of monthly reviews, prepare payroll action forms and track all completed reviews to ensure reviews are given in a timely manner.
· Update Paycom new hires, terms, transfers and manual check calculations to ensure accurate, up-to-date information is available for payroll and management.
· Assist with orientation; overview of benefits to new associates, instruct on completion of enrollment forms and audit for accuracy, provide overview of company handbook.
· Assist with reception duties: greeting concerned associates and directing to appropriate manager if necessary.
· Conduct exit interviews of hourly associates and log and update in tracking spreadsheet. Keep associate bulletin boards current, post memos, pictures of associate events, loss prevention materials.
· Other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Director of People & Culture.
Knowledge/Skills
· Ability to write and communicate professionally, bi-lingual fluency a plus.
· Must be hospitality oriented and possess the ability to work under pressure. Should possess the ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Must excel in attention to detail and the ability to stay focused on task while prioritizing time and deadlines.
· Excellent hearing required to conduct interviews, hear associate concerns, conduct reference checks, answer phones.
· Excellent vision required to review all incoming documentation, read applications, filing, etc.
· Excellent speech communication skills required to conduct interviews, reference checks, handle phone and associate inquiries.
· Excellent comprehension and literacy required to read all documentation, applications and write documentation, i.e., screening forms, etc.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Physical Effort: Significant portions of day require prolonged sedentary work. Ability to visually review documents and computer screen throughout day.
Physical Environment: Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time during course of shift.
Manual Skills: Significant portions of daily assignments involve application of manual skills requiring motor coordination in combination with finger dexterity, e.g., typing, handwriting, or machine operations.
Work Schedule: Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, Associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of LM Restaurants.
Safety: Responsible for operating within company safety guidelines, including the safe and responsible operation of company equipment. Reports and addresses safety concerns as they arise. Ensures safe handling of chemicals in accordance with hotel and department standards and utilizes proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when appropriate.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate required. Some college or college degree preferred. Degree in hospitality management preferred.
Experience: 1-2 years in hospitality is preferred. 1-2 years Human Resources is a plus.
Computer Skill & Other
Technical Skills: Ability to utilize computer software and hardware required. Ability to easily maneuver on computer keyboard required. Ability to learn, utilize and communicate effectively via company issued communication devices.
Communication: Advanced ability to comprehend and speak English to understand and respond to information and address advanced guest requests required both verbally and in writing. Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required.
Licenses or Certifications: SHRM Membership is a plus but not required
Other: Must be customer-service oriented and have excellent hospitality skills. Must be able to calculate basic mathematic functions
