Wanship Transportation, an established player in the business of moving Refrigerated LTL freight throughout the west is expanding again. Family run since 1989, ours is a growing business. Wanship is a mid-sized trucking company totaling 90+ newer Peterbilt and Kenworth trucks and 150 Great Dane trailers with Thermo-King refrigerated-trailer units. Wanship is seeking an experienced reefer technician in our North Salt Lake terminal. We are looking for a skilled trailer mechanic familiar with the air systems, electrical, suspensions and some body work repairing/replacing skins on the side of the trailers as well some tire work and cross member repair.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and complete preventative maintenance and inspections on Thermo-King refrigeration units
• Complete mechanical repairs as needed.
• Utilize a basic understanding of the refrigerated operation, diagnosis, repair, root causes of common issues, and corrective steps to keep equipment running at maximum efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area compliant with OSHA and company regulations and policies.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of refrigeration unit maintenance and repair or training equivalent.
• 608 refrigerant certification.
• Great attendance is required.

Schedule:

• Flexible schedules including 4-10’s or 5-8’s
• Morning or swing shift is available.
