Homes for Independent Living (HIL) operates more than 100 programs located in more than 14 Wisconsin counties! We provide specialized support to people with developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, mental illness, and people requiring services to support challenging behaviors.
- Monitors program occupancy, quality of services to meet needs of existing and potential clients through the timely review of client referrals and facilitation of internal moves and discharges from service.
- Maximizes fiscal well being through review of company financial reports, developing action plans to address variances. Vets restructuring options that improve outcomes.
- Leads strategic regional planning working closely with the Executive Director, Finance, and the Admissions team to review, develop, and secure new business opportunities.
- Fosters strong partnerships with case management supervisors and other key player representatives to positively impact agency development, sustainability, and growth within the region.
- Manages public relations with customers and the community. Ensures concerns are addressed and rallies team to celebrate success.
- Performs human resource management for direct reports and supports staff in their professional development. Builds bench strength.
The Regional Director supervises a team of support staff and manages partnerships with key departments including Finance, Human Resources, and Admissions.

The ideal candidate would possess five (5) years of management work experience in the Human Services field, plus three (3) years of supervisory experience. Bachelors or Master’s Degree in a related field highly preferred. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple priorities and be able to demonstrate a high level of initiative. Exemplary interpersonal skills, ability to work with minimal direct supervision, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment are a must.
