Position Overview

The Regional Equipment Specialist role is responsible for equipment logistics, including sourcing from multiple internal sources including the venues and the warehouses. Is responsible for identifying, resolving, and escalating transportation and equipment accuracy issues to minimize delays that would impact the shortages venues have. This position is responsible for the equipment shortages with a region and the resolution of those shortages through efficient use of all available equipment. This position will partner with warehouse, venue operations, project management and asset management.

Key Job Responsibilities

Equipment Logistics

• Work closely with regional teams to develop logistical plans resulting in maximum utilization of company owned equipment within the region.
• Gather equipment shortage data and source equipment from internal locations to fulfill those needs.
• Work with regional locations to manage equipment shortages and prioritize regional equipment for large events.
• Oversee internal equipment transfers, transportation logistics, and quality control process, with an emphasis on keeping company-owned equipment in use and available as often as possible to maximize cost reduction opportunities.

Sub-rental Management

• Directly manage sub-rental requirements to secure necessary equipment, review pricing, and align logistics to the event schedule.
• Work directly with providers and internal teams to resolve occurrences of missing and damaged equipment.
• Work with equipment requesting locations to regulate the timing and accuracy of equipment returns to the warehouse and other venue locations
• Work with both the vendor and field locations on any service issues, gather feedback on overall support levels, and provide feedback to outline opportunities for improvement.

Reporting

• Establish actionable benchmarks on sub-rentals and shipping and report out to regional leadership teams on progress and challenges.
• Provide frequent updates on equipment status, outstanding risks, and action items
• Develop regional survey to measure supply chain performance, assess gaps, and improve customer service

Job Requirements

• BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of project management experience preferred
• 1+ year of Supervisory experience preferred
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong Technical Background
• Familiarity with budgets and cost control
• Operational logistics experience
• Works well under pressure
• Ability to manage multiple complex job functions within a fast-paced environment
• MS Office experience required
• Technical diagram knowledge / experience preferred
• Ability to travel up to 50% may be required

Work Environment

Office Warehouse

Work is performed in an office environment. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in an office environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area.
