Responsible for planning and overseeing the activities of the Regional Facility Services Department, outside vendor program, and consults and effectively resolves issues with restaurant management to ensure proper implementation of preventative maintenance programs, efficient operation, and upkeep of restaurant facilities and equipment.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Interacts with daily workflow for all dispatch, equipment, and facilities maintenance services. Manages vendor selection and retention programs for vendors to be used within the region. Solicits and evaluates bids; selects and approves recommended vendors; receives and tracks updates from restaurants and departmental staff assessing vendor quality and performance. Researches and responds to comments and complaints, provides explanation of services provided, and ensures a timely resolution to issues. Ensures compliance with safety standards and local, state and federal requirements.

Develops departmental procedures, facility maintenance programs, and directs the equipment preventative maintenance schedules and completion compliance. Evaluates regional maintenance and repair needs; provides input in capital planning and budgeting; coordinates departmental support for new restaurant openings and special corporate projects; ensures timely and efficient response to all service requests. Approves and monitors repair spending and planned capital expenditures.

Trains and communicates to management how to utilize the Facility Service Department in the most cost effective and timely manner. Regularly updates management on cost and inventory management, trend analysis, and service performance. Leads and/or participates on development teams facility services programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required.

Experience - Requires a minimum of 5-6 years experience in a Facilities Services role. Experience in an outsourced vendor program preferred. Requires 2-3 years in a supervisory role.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities - Excellent oral and written English communication skills, planning and organization skills, supervisory, and negotiation skills. Good mathematical and interpersonal skills. Strong knowledge and understanding of local, County, and State building codes, and safety and health regulations. Proficient knowledge of personal computers and related software applications (word processing, spreadsheets, databases). Basic knowledge of building maintenance activities, including CFC, carpentry, refrigeration, electrical and food service equipment and maintenance repair. Demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior.

Physical Conditions Must possess a valid drivers license. Ability to hear and speak clearly in person and on the telephone. Ability to ascend a 20-foot vertical ladder and lift 25-50 lbs. Ability to travel 30% 40% of the time as business needs require.

*REMOTE POSITION BASED IN TEXAS*

The range for this position is $101,900 - $142,500 and is based on an employee located at our corporate headquarters in San Diego. If the candidate is hired in a different city to work remote, we will apply a geographic pay differential based on the cost of labor in the market in which the employee resides.
