Position Description
Naiad Dynamics US, Inc. (ND) is seeking an experienced Regional Manager to oversee our Fort Lauderdale, Florida sales and service operation. The ideal candidate will have direct experience working in the marine industry in a technical capacity, preferably as a Marine or Mechanical Engineer, or as crew such as a Captain, Chief Engineer, or Engineer. We are seeking a self-starter who has strong technical, customer service and management skills to lead our local team of field service technicians while being part of our global service team as a senior manager. Potential for advancement to Global Service Manager for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Manage company field service technicians and engineers, who perform our OEM product-related services onboard yachts and ships, including installation, maintenance and repair
- Oversee the work scheduling of field service technicians/engineers
- Ensure that the service technicians/engineers receive appropriate technical and safety training
- Directly interface with customers (boat and ship yards managers, vessel operators, crew, yacht owners, etc.) to address their parts, service or product installation needs
- Provide customer quotations and secure purchase orders for service work and part orders.
- Enhance Florida office operations and business performance.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, advice, and direction to customers and ND Field service technicians/engineers as required.
- Ensure customer issues are satisfactorily resolved; utilize ND factory engineering and production resources as necessary.
- Supervise daily operations and general human resource management.
- Generate sales opportunities for parts, systems and service work.
- Visit customers and boatyards, yacht brokers, and other potential equipment selection influencers; attend and support trade shows and conferences as needed.
- Domestic and international travel as necessary.
- Help establish a culture of professionalism and integrity with an overriding focus on customer satisfaction.
- Other duties reasonably assigned by management
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in marine, mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
- 5 – 10 years of experience in marine industry.
- Captain, Chief Engineer, or Engineer prior work experience is highly beneficial.
- Aptitude and general understanding of machinery and systems, ability to be trained to support electronic, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
- Leadership skills with ability to motivate and effectively manage field service personnel.
- Business acumen and professionalism.
- Professional and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Authorized to work in the United States
