Position Summary

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing sales activities with key accounts and the introduction to new accounts to fill network needs and grow revenue.

Description of Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Sell TTSI family of services in a manner that maximizes revenue, meets operational velocity requirements, and addresses direction and seasonality needs in the assigned region. Identify market volatility in assigned territory and develop sales strategies to adapt to the changing business environment.
  • Retain profitable freight by managing the account base and ensuring quality relationships with customers. Develop new business from existing accounts by understanding the customers’ business, identifying growth opportunities, and driving improvement.
  • Understand and respond to the changing freight needs in assigned territories. Align sales activities to address immediate operations requirements.
  • Cross-sell all service offerings: Ocean/Rail Dray, Local/Regional TL, warehousing, dedicated, and brokerage.
  • Identify and initiate activities for prospective customers to generate profitable freight. Initiate sales call to screen prospective customers for new business.
  • Review prospective customer transportation needs. Drive freight improvements in the area of velocity, lane direction, and seasonality.
  • Present proposals to customers that will increase business. Negotiate customer acceptance of proposals.
  • Track the sales activity of customers to ensure sales commitments are met and generate profitable freight.
  • Work closely with inside sales/Customer Service in support of corporate revenue goals.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and all internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction, problem resolution, correction of billing errors, and collections on overdue accounts.
  • Document sales activities and update account records in Salesforce.
  • Review sales metrics and scorecards to continuously drive improvement.

Qualifications

Education / Training

· Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred

· Proficient Microsoft Office Skills

· Comfortable with CRM tools like Salesforce

Work Experience

· Must have 5+ Years selling Transportation Services with a preference in Truckload, Ocean/Rail Dray, Warehousing, Brokerage, and OTR

· Strong background in selling intermodal services a plus

Job Skills

Excellent communication skills both internally and externally.

Environmental Requirements

· This position requires working in an office setting, long periods of time sitting.

· Must be able to stand, bend, push and pull at least up to 10 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
