***GENEROUS RBT HOURLY PAY RATE OF $34.00 PER HOUR***

LOCATION: Downingtown, PA

SCHEDULE: 7:30AM - 3:00PM, working on all student days

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – Community-Based Specialist will work on assignment for CHAAMP community-based program of the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) where students with autism use the community as their classroom. Working with specialized staff, in a classroom facility designed specifically for their unique needs, students with moderate to severe autism build the skills to transition from school to adult, independent life.

Age Range of Students: 14 - 21

The RBT implements IEPs for students with severe/moderate autism under the guidance of the special education teacher. The RBT is responsible for implementing and directing a behavioral model for the students at the CHAAMP program, a secondary transition program for students with moderate to severe autism. The RBT will use principles of applied behavior analysis to extinguish negative behaviors and promote positive replacement behaviors as developed in a student's IEP. The RBT will maintain continuous data to document frequency of targeted student behaviors and goals. The RBT will transport and accompany students in the community to develop and reinforce social, recreational, and vocational skills per IEP goals. The RBT will utilize de-escalation techniques and management strategies for student-student or student-staff conflicts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• HS Diploma or equivalency. Post-secondary education preferred
• Previous experience working with students with autism/ ability to relate well to adolescent population
• Registered Behavior Technician certification, preferred
  • If not RBT certified, employment conditional to receive certification within 3 months of hire
• Valid PA Driver's License
• Driver record check and approval to drive school vans based on program policies

• PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
• PA Department of Education FBI – Use code 1KG6XN
• TB Screening
• Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts
• RBT certification
