Tuscola Behavioral Health Systems (TBHS) has been providing services within Tuscola County since 1974. As the Community Mental Health Agency within Tuscola County, we are here to provide services to children with severe emotional disorders, adults with mental illness, substance use disorders, and intellectual/developmental disorders.

*This job is located in Caro, Michigan.
**Full-time position; 40 hours/wk. (Monday-Friday) After hours on-call availability.
*** Salary Range: $27.31 - $33.17 per hour - based on licensure status (ASN or BSN)
****$5,000.00 sign-on bonus available.
(If eligible, first payment at 6 months; second payment at 12 months)

Requirements:
- Registered Nurse License in the State of Michigan required.
- Three years nursing experience, preferably with adults with mental illnesses and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
- Valid driver's license and automobile insurance are required.

Responsibilities:
- Provide medical services and medically appropriate supportive services to adults with mental illnesses and/or developmental disabilities.
- These services include direct medical and psychiatric nursing care as well as care coordination, coordination with primary care physicians, and other health care providers.
- This also includes medication administration, emergency medical care, nursing assessments and monitoring, linkage with primary care physicians, facilitating/instructing educational services, participation in committee meetings, nursing care plan development and in-servicing, providing medication and healthcare related education, conduct limited medical procedures such as injections, catheter changes, and providing back up coverage for the integrated wellness clinic.
- Responsible for oversight of the medication management process, including review, analysis and reporting.
- This position requires travel (agency vehicle available) and periodic after hours on-call availability.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and actively supports culturally competent, recovery based practices.
