Registered Nurse - Med/Surg

Qualifications:
At least 1-2 years' of hospital-based nursing experience is required. No new graduates.
Education/Licenses/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within three years from the initial date of hire.
Texas RN license or temporary TX RN license, should obtain a permanent license within 90 days. A compact license is acceptable according to current Board of Nursing requirements.
Current Health Care Provider level CPR and ACLS, PALS
Specialty certification is preferred for specialty positions

The RN position provides professional nursing care to a diverse patient population. It conducts nursing assessments, assists with exams and treatment, patient education, and maintains patient medical records.

- Demonstrates clinical competence when providing care, using technology, administering medications, performing procedures and managing emergencies. In addition, he acts as a patient and family advocate to monitor and maintain patient rights.
- assumes leadership roles with progressive responsibility including but not limited to participating in or leading unit and shared governance initiatives, serving as charge nurse or preceptor to students or new employees, and possibly contributing to service line or hospital-wide initiatives in partnership with management.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $77,000.00 - $116,000.00 per year
