Homeward Bound is a non-profit organization that provides home and community based services to people with intellectual and physical disabilities in a residential group home setting. We have 20 locations in Hennepin County. We follow a person-centered, active support approach to ensure that the individuals with disabilities we serve have a hand in directing their services and a voice concerning their future. This position requires a current LPN nursing license in the state of MN.

Our LPN positions include a $1000 sign on bonus paid within the first 30 days of hire.
This is a weekend only position which can work up to 32 hours per weekend and must work a minimum of 16 hours per weekend.
The Weekend Nurse Floater position will support multiple Homeward Bound locations (all in Hennepin County).
Weekend Nurse Floater Job Duties
- Administer medication and treatments
- Assessments and monitoring of individual health issues
- Communication and education of unlicensed staff regarding individual medical conditions, medication, and treatments
- Communication with families regarding individual medical conditions
- Ability to handle an emergency situation and give direction to others
Weekend Nurse Floater Requirements:
- Current nursing license in the state of MN.
- A valid Minnesota driver's license with a good driving record is mandatory.
- You must be able to lift a minimum of 60 pounds as most of our individuals require assistance with transfers.
- You must be able to understand, speak, read, and write the English language.
- Because we provide services to vulnerable children and adults Homeward Bound will only employ applicants who pass a criminal background check.
- Homeward Bound employees are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or have an approved religious or medical exemption prior to orientation.
