Cohort starts July 11, 2023.

Qualifications include:

• Must be a new graduate from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current BLS Certification.
• Must obtain license within 6 months of hire

Schedule:

Willing to work any shift including weekends and holidays. Schedule to be determined when the cohort is complete based on the needs of the unit. After the cohort at least 48 hours in two weeks however during the cohort, will be 64 hours in two weeks.

Job Description:

Westfields Hospital & Clinic are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Nurse Resident to join our team. The Nurse Resident will participate in a comprehensive residency program designed to transition new graduate nurses into professional nursing practice. The program is focused on developing the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care and improve patient outcomes.

Duties Include:

• Participate in a comprehensive residency program that includes classroom and clinical components
• Attend and actively participate in all educational sessions, including lectures, simulations, and skills labs
• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an experienced RN preceptor
• Perform assessments, develop care plans, and implement interventions to promote patient safety and well-being
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects
• Demonstrate professionalism and adherence to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice
• Seek feedback from preceptors and mentors to enhance performance and promote personal and professional growth
• Complete all required assignments, evaluations, and assessments to successfully complete the residency program
