RN Duties:

• Review, communicate and contribute to the day-to-day functions of the Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and Personal Care Attendants (PCA)
• Provide medications by mouth, subcutaneous or intramuscular injections as ordered
• Complete wound care as ordered to improve skin integrity
• Make written and oral reports/recommendations concerning the activities of your shift for continuity of care
• Communicate with family members of residents as needed in the event of receiving new orders, a change in condition or a simple check in to ensure resident is safe, well and content
• Participate and shine in center surveys (inspections)
• Assist in planning the nursing services portion of the residents’ discharge plans
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents
• Complete accident/incident reports as necessary
• Chart in electronic files using Point Click Care in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provided as well as residents' responses to care
• Receive telephone orders from physicians on duty
• Order prescribed medications, supplies, and equipment as necessary
• Ensure that narcotics are handled in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Participate in associate performance evaluations and making recommendations to the Nurse Supervisor
• Develop work assignments
• Make daily rounds of your unit/shift to ensure resident safety is Top Priority
• Meet with the nursing personnel on your shift on a regularly to improve services
• Administer professional services such as catheterizations, tube feedings, suction, applying and changing dressings/bandages, packs, colostomy and drainage bags, etc
• Attend and participate in all center in-service programs as required
• Maintain professional competence through participation in continuing education programs, seminars, and training programs

RN Qualifications:

• Must hold a current and valid RN license in the state employed or state residing (Ask about our Reciprocity Process!)
• If a recent Nursing Graduate, ask about our Graduate Nurse Program!
• Must be able to work an every other weekend rotation

About Bay Breeze Senior Living and Rehabilitation Center

Bay Breeze Senior Living & Rehabilitation Center is a 120 bed skilled nursing facility, complete with an additional 30 rooms for assisted living. Bay Breeze the only skilled nursing facility located in Santa Rosa County. We offer sub-acute skilled nursing care, rehabilitation and long term care on one campus in a comfortable setting. Bay Breeze Health and Rehabilitation center is known as a National Quality Award winner by the American Health Care Association.

As stated by CMS, December 5, 2021, all healthcare associates will need to have received their first dose of a COVID vaccine and must be fully vaccinated by January 4, 2022.
