Registered Vascular Technologist

Job Description:

California Vein and Vascular Centers is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented registered vascular technologist (RVT). This is a contract position for our Salinas office and may require traveling to our various locations: Morgan Hill, Los Altos and Los Gatos . Candidate will only be performing vascular studies –no general ultrasound.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Perform non-invasive arterial vascular testing for:
• Peripheral arterial disease including arterial duplex and ABIs
• Cerebrovascular disease including carotid arterial duplex
• Aortic arterial disease * Perform venous disease testing for:
• Deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
• Venous insufficiency (reflux) and post procedure scans effectively and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of patient care * Prepare patient for exam by explaining procedure, transferring patient to ultrasound table and positioning patient
• Obtain and record accurate information on provided forms
• Coordinate work with physicians and other healthcare team members
• Maintain required certification and registries, health requirements, and operational requirements
• Spanish proficiency a plus, but not required

Education
Graduate from a diagnostic ultrasound training program (2-4 years)

Experience
Two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience in vascular ultrasound

License/Certifications
RVT (registered vascular technologist) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) - active status
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) from the American Heart Association

Job Type: Contract

Pay: From $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Salinas, CA 93901: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 25% (Preferred)
