We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Regulatory Advisor within our Rockies Regulatory Affairs group based in Denver, CO.


Essential Job Responsibilities:

Help to coordinate all permitting activities associated with drilling and operations of wells for assigned teams.

  • Work with Regulatory Analysts and other teams to plan and permit future horizontal well locations (strategic planning, internal/external communication, collection of deliverables, populating permits, etc)
  • Coordinate the compilation of internal and external deliverables required for the permitting of future wells
  • Submit all required permits to applicable agencies and communicate updates to internal teams as necessary throughout the duration of the permit reviews
  • Provide guidance to teams on local, state, and federal permitting and operating requirements to ensure operational compliance
  • Ensuring compliance with permit/code/rule requirements prior to upcoming operations; coordination with operational teams to communicate mandatory permitting requirements
  • Special permitting and/or compliance assignments; extensive coordination with state and local regulatory personnel; and providing support to the Stakeholder Relations team, as needed
  • Develop business relationships with professionals at regulatory agencies to ensure knowledge of the rules and compliance
  • Present at local and state hearings on specific oil and gas permitting projects


Qualifications - External

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of oil and gas related experience or demonstrated knowledge of the industry
  • Minimum of 5 years of oil and gas regulatory experience, specifically focused on the permitting of new wells
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, perform and track, multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving skills and self-motivation
  • Excellent presentation skills: and the ability to present to a variety of audiences
  • Strong project management, research, and reporting skills
  • Flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic, multi-task, customer service environment
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong ethics, service attitude, team player

Salary Information:

DISCRETIONARY BONUS RANGE



$81,600 - $112,000
