Job Description:
This position supervises a full range of office activities and projects and/or specialized clerical support for multiple directors / managers / physicians, a major service line, multiple departments, multiple sites, or multiple functions.This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday; shifts could be 6:45a-3:15p or 9:45a-6:15p (8:45a-5:15p on Fridays).
Scope
As an Office Supervisor you need to know how to:
Be responsible for organizational, clerical and secretarial duties within the department.
Employ effective strategies and excellent customer service to meet the needs of patients and clinical staff.
Be involved in monitoring and addressing quality issues and determining optimal work flow to maximize front desk staff efficiency.
Be responsible for onboarding new employees and providing ongoing training.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, required.
Associates or Bachelors degree, preferred.
CPR required by completion of the unit-specific orientation and before working independently.
One (1) year experience relating to medical insurance or knowledge of medical terminology and previous hospital admissions, required.
One (1) year management experience, preferred.
Bilingual, preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Interact with others by effectively communicating, both orally and in writing.- and -Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.- and -See and read computer monitors and documents.- and -Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.- and -May require lifting and transporting objects and office supplies, bending, kneeling and reaching.Location:
