In this position you will support the annual plan and quarterly forecasts within Oracle. Lead efforts to streamline and improve the analysis and digital visualization of HSB’s actual, forecast and plan financial data, as well as critical underwriting and pricing financial data and analysis tools. Support Oracle implementation for international divisions and maintain new system once implemented. Has a critical part of the process to leverage Oracle to implement a plan and forecast reporting under the new IFRS 17 international accounting standards coordinating with the Parent company, various finance and actuarial departments, and other subsidiaries of HSB.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting, Information Technology or related field
• 10+ years’ experience in management reporting and financial analysis
• 10+ years' experience in database tools such as Sequel Server/SQL, SSAS, Power BI and Oracle

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong computer skills including Excel, VBA macros, working with databases, Sequel Server/SQL, Oracle EPM, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Power Query, Microsoft SSAS, PowerPoint, SharePoint, PeopleSoft G/L & nVision
• Ability to work independently. Deep understanding of the metadata, dimensions and their attributes along with the interdimensional relationships
• Ability to deal with detailed data and at the same time provide a “big picture” perspective in identifying and producing insightful written narrative and analysis
• Strong skills in developing new and improving analysis and reporting including the ability to develop and document data requirements (for our IT team to implement) and creating the analysis and visuals
• Create and maintain report and analysis documentation, both functional and technical
• Ability to gather requirements, plan delivery and assess risks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work under tight time frames
• Strong communication and presentation skills
