Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the high level of care and comfort our residents expect from us. The position holder will assist our residents with their Activities of Daily Living (ADL) while making meaningful connections with each of them. Common ADLs include safe transferring, assistance with personal hygiene, memory care stimulation, and social interaction. Above all, you will exhibit a passion for serving seniors and contributing to the positive environment our residents are proud to call home.

Shifts:
First, Second and Third shift schedules available

What you will be doing:
  • Maintaining a positive working relationship with all residents, resident families, and guests.
  • Maintaining a high degree of resident, family, and guest satisfaction and retention through consistent delivery of high-quality services.
  • Effectively and appropriately communicating with each co-worker and community leader.
  • Assisting residents with performance of activities as indicated in their care plan.
  • Assisting residents with emotional health and/or behavioral expressions as indicated in their care plan.
  • Assisting in developmental and revision in our resident's care plans by informing the department leader of resident needs and preferences, as well as successful service approaches.
  • Continuously maintaining knowledge of the policy and procedures of Aviva Senior Living.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Regular and predictable attendance daily.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • CNA preferred
  • One to two years of related work experience preferred

General Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Skilled in caring for residents with memory impairments and secondary diagnosis.
  • Ability to work with the elderly in a courteous and friendly manner, demonstrating patience and compassion.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of state regulations
  • Ability to always perform duties with consideration for residents' rights and demonstrate integrity and discretion in the care of residents and in handling their health information.
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
