Full-time; 36 hours per week; Shift: Saturday 8 am to Sunday 10 pm

Vodec is currently hiring for full-time Residential Services Assistants to join our residential team. We are looking for compassionate and dedicated individuals to provide our services. All of our consumers have unique and individual goals and needs which makes every day at Vodec different and exciting!

In this role, you will work within a residential group home setting to provide caretaking, teaching, and recreational activities to individuals with developmental disabilities. In addition, you will help facilitate individual and group activities with residents geared towards increasing capacity in interpersonal communication, problem-solving, self-care, motor skills, etc.

You will:

• Work with adults who have various types of intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Assist consumers who are fairly independent and able to take care of many of their needs on their own
• Assist others who may be non-verbal and may require more assistance doing things
• Help our consumers cook meals, take medicine, do laundry, clean their homes and assist with personal care.
• Provide transportation and accompany our consumers into the community as they run errands such as grocery shopping, visit others and go on outings, and attend events.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 19 years of age
• High school or equivalent diploma
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation
• Satisfactory driving record
• Be able to pass a background check
