How you’ll perform the role.

YAI is currently seeking a high energy, self starting individual to supervise one of our residential group homes in Long Island, NY. A person's managerial and clinical skills will be maximized in an interdisciplinary team environment, where there is ongoing support and training. The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for working with people with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities. The Residential Supervisor is responsible for providing staff training, mentoring and supervision of 20 Direct Support Professionals. The Supervisor will need to be able to provide program oversight, quality assurance, maintain NYS regulations, oversee clinical programming, be an advocate for the people we support and be a liaison with families.

Key Responsibilities

· Ensure the program provides the appropriate level of supervision for the people we support at all times.

· Oversee the financial systems of both the program as well as the people we support and ensure fiscal responsibility and integrity.

· Oversee the 24/7/365 operation of the residential group home, ensuring the health, safety and well-being of the people we support.

· Interview, hire, train and supervise all levels of staff including DSP's and Assistant Supervisor.

· Work with the program nurse to ensure proper medical care and follow up including all medical appointments as well as medication administration for the people we support.

· Ensure a cooperative environment with family members as well as outside providers.

What we’d need from you.

· A High School Diploma or GED is required; BA/BS degree preferred

· A valid Driver's License

· 1-3 years experience supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities required, 3-5 years preferred

· 1-3 years experience supervising various levels of staff required, 3-5 years preferred

· Tuberculosis test required for most positions

Pay: From $58,500.00 per year
