The Phoenix Center for Rehab & Pediatrics is a skilled nursing facility located in Haskell, NJ. We are looking for devoted and caring Respiratory Therapists for our newly renovated and expanded pediatric rehab unit We have full-time, part-time, and per-diem positions available. This is not a short term travel position.

Our Respiratory Therapists examine, diagnose, and treat our residents with respiratory and cardiopulmonary diseases.

Responsibilities as a Respiratory Therapist:

• Interview and examine residents with breathing difficulties
• Consult with doctors and nursing staff to develop and modify resident treatment plan
• Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests to measure lung capacity
• Use equipment to administer oxygen to the resident to assist with breathing
• Connect residents who cannot breathe to a ventilator
• Educate residents on how to use the equipment and medication
• Monitor a resident’s response to medication and alter when needed
• Regularly check on residents and equipment

Requirements for a Respiratory Therapist

• Must have BLS
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Must be patient and sensitive to resident needs
• Must be fully vaccinated for Covid
