Job description

We are looking for a General Manager to oversee operations at our independently owned and operated restaurants. This position requires a passion for customer service, excellent communication skills and a commitment to high standards of food, service, health and safety.

Main Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities

• coordinate operations during each shift
• train, coach and monitor staff
• prepare schedules
• interact positively with guests
• respond to all inquiries and issues promptly
• ensure accuracy of cash handling and record keeping procedures
• prepare and analyze management reports
• project food, beverage and supply needs and place orders with suppliers
• check quality of deliveries and accuracy of invoices
• maintain adequate staffing levels
• maintain equipment, arrange for maintenance and repairs as needed
• keep current with trends in the restaurant industry

Knowledge and Experience

• previous experience in food and beverage management
• in-depth working knowledge of food and drink preparation and presentation
• skilled in staff management and development
• knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
• skilled in planning and forecasting
• experience with inventory management and cost control measures
• knowledge of administrative procedures
• able to use relevant computer applications

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
