Our team members are loyal and dedicated, taking pride in providing our guests with a comfortable, memorable experience.

We are seeking a Restaurant Server to join our team! Our Servers are responsible for informing guests of various beverage and food options; taking and serving orders in a friendly, courteous and timely manner. They work closely with other wait staff and the kitchen team to ensure the restaurant is operating effeiciently.

What you can bring to Intercontinental St. Paul Riverfront:

● Inform guests of various beverage and food options, recommending any pairings and describing food ingredients and tastes;

● Take food and beverage orders from guests;

● Monitor food distribution, ensuring that all meals are delivered to correct receipients;

● Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment and process credit card transactions;

● Assist other servers with running food when time allows;

● Perform side work requested by supervisor at the beginning and end of each shift;

● Maintain clean service areas;

● Other duties as assigned by management

We are seeking candidates with:

● 1 year of serving experience with basic knowledge of food presentation is required (previous experience in an establishment with more than 20 beer taps is preferred);

● Must be able to successfully complete the first level of certification in the Cicerone program;

● Scheduling flexibility is required - must be available afternoons, evenings, weekends & holidays;

● Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to assess customers needs, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of overall customer satisifaction);

● Comfortable upselling to guests with basic knowledge of principles and methods of showing, promoting and selling products;

● Comfortable multi-tasking and can thrive in a high stress, fast-paced environment;

● Strong organization and time management skills;

● Stellar communication and interpersonal skills, who are comfortable interacting with many types of personalities;

● Able to speak, read, write and understand English;

● Able to perform all essential duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation

Physical Environment:

● Endure various physical movements, can comfortably lift at least 50 pounds;

● Must be able to stand and exert well placed mobility for up to 8 hours;

● Walking; moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another;

● Must be able to kneel, squat, bend, stoop and twist to perform job duties;

● Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs, and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
