The Retail Accounting Assistant will work with store managers to close the back-office system on a daily basis.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintains daily close checklist for stores.
- Creates a daily report for operations that show any issues from the stores on the daily close.
- Works with managers to solve issues and ensure deadlines are met.
- Posts inventories and records shrink.
- Identifies margin issues and reports to manager to ensure accurate pricing.
- Develops and maintains good working relationships with managers and co-workers.
- Performs other related duties as requested.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
- Proficient keyboarding skills.
- Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to develop professional relationships with managers and co-workers.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience with computerized back-office systems required.
