STORE MANAGER
SUMMARY:
We are growing! We are looking for a multiple Store Managers (in LA, Studio City, and Santa Monica) who are inspiring leaders to manage all aspects of the staff and store, and who can consistently meet the financial, operational and visual expectations of the company.
REPORTS TO:
Retail Director
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive Sales – consistently meet or exceed goals
- Deliver and model exceptional client experience and sales generation
- Provide ongoing training on client service and sales techniques
- Educate the team on all product information, marketing initiatives, other RG services and
offerings, and sales goals
- Track performance to sales goals
- Analyze and understand sales trends; provide ideas and feedback to buyers and. marketing
department
- Request replenishment as needed to maintain visual presentations
- Recommend merchandising opportunities and/or mark downs to buyers when products are
not selling
Manage Staff – attract, inspire and develop great employees
- Create a cohesive team that is motivated to achieve, grow and be lifelong ambassadors for
RG
- Manage the full cycle employment process in coordination with HR
- Ensure that the store is well staffed and turnover is kept to a minimum
- Foster an environment of curiosity and learning
- Communicate effectively and set clear priorities, and expectations
- Train and hold the team accountable to store processes and procedures
- Ensure team has what they need to be successful; remove obstacles
- Hold regular 1-1 meetings (minimally monthly)
- Ensure that all employees understand the brand and all Rolling Greens services and
offerings
Manage Property - stores must always be safe, clean, organized, and beautiful
- Uphold the Rolling Greens brand in all things aesthetic
- Ensure that all things are in working order and there are no hazards that compromise
safety
- Ensure that all sellable and non-sellable supplies are always in stock
- Ensure that the store is opened and closed responsibly and properly every day
- Conduct daily walkthroughs and audits to ensure visual expectations are met
- Conduct monthly safety walkthroughs and ensure all problems are addressed
Accept financial accountability- manage all variable costs on profit and loss reports
- Manage controllable costs to the store budget (supplies, labor, etc)
- Ensure that discount policies are being adhered to
- Monitor damages; investigate and problem solve
- Identify shrink and loss opportunities
- Develop prevention and reduction strategies for damage and loss
- Manage the care and maintenance of all perishable product, understanding the impact to
the bottom line
- Train and hold the team accountable, accordingly

- Prioritize the care and maintenance of perishable product
- Be reliable and accountable to the responsibilities of this position
- Prioritize and delegate strategically
- Set meaningful goals and objectives for the staff
- Deliver constructive and productive performance reviews
- Manage payroll related functions for the department
- Maintain safety records/logs
- Submit all corporate paperwork accurately and timely, including but not limited to daily
closing reports, weekly recaps, inventory and damages
- Maintain up to date logs of pertinent information such as passwords, keyholders, etc. and
store in company specified locations
- Uphold all company policies, procedures, standards and safety guidelines - fairly and
consistently
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Level
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
Knowledge/Experience
- 5+ years of experience in high end retail sales (2 years in management preferred)
- Proven record for hiring and developing talent
- Passion for retail and home design
- Plant knowledge a plus; willingness to learn about plants a must
- Track record of driving business results and achieving goals

Physical Abilities/Demands
- Stand/walk for long periods of time
- Sit for moderate amount of time
- Move about the store/property
- Grab, reach, push, pull, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Safely lift and move up to 50 pounds without restrictions
- Ascend/descend ladders safely
- Perform store maintenance functions such as sweep, vacuum, empty trash, clean
- Maintain physical stamina and energy for 8+ hours in a day
Working Conditions/Environment
- Fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous priorities
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions
- Potential exposure to insects (ants, mosquitos, etc.)
- Moderate noise levels
