Retail Store Supervisor
Job description
Ensures retail operations at Offshore Marina Trading Post are properly staffed, merchandised and inventory and variance counts are calculated regularly.
Maximizes revenue, and controls costs in all areas of supervision and maintains all partner standards (chevron franchise inspections and standards).
Evaluates dead inventory and reduces via ecommerce and in store promotions to free money for higher use. Develops and institutes a purchasing program with the General Manager and accounting to set up preferred vendors, find most favorable terms (discounts, payment dates) to maintain a structured buying and spending department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous retail and management experience 2 plus years preferred
- Previous inventory and retail/computer software knowledge and practical use
- Knowledge of all up to date Health and Food codes
- Ability to work multi tasks in a fast-paced environment; clean, organized individual
- Servsafe Food Handlers Certification required
- Valid current drivers license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass background and drug screen
- Ability to understand, analyze and react to retail and hospitality financial and cost analysis
- High degree of self-motivation, self-awareness and self-control
- Excellent communication and directive skills with people
- Essential Functions:Ensure all retail SOPs and procedures are in place and followed daily.
- Responsible for training, cross training and coaching/development of all retail and grill personnel.
- Keep work area neat, clean and organized.
- Represent Ticaboo Mgmt. LLC professionally with all vendors, guests and internal guests.
- Provide departmental and property leadership daily as a member of the management team.
- Serves as rotating property MOD.
- Ensure revenue is maximized and costs controlled and minimized to affect bottom line profitability.
- Check and voucher all incoming product per the invoices to verify what is received.
- Initiate weekly/monthly product inventories, variances and cost calculation as needed.
- Produce and facilitate weekly/monthly property inventory schedule for all departments.
- Work with accounting to implement and operate a purchasing department.
- Follow all Environmental and OSHA Safety policies and procedures.
- Hire, train and develop staff to grow in supervisory roles to promote from within.
- Evaluate and purchase inventory online, at shows, in person to maximize volume and revenue.
- Develop and maintain an ecommerce store on the website and ebay to move old merchandise
- Monitors, records and inputs/analyzes/shares financial performance data with management and ownership

Environment is a remote, seasonal hospitality operation that at times may have limited or off line resources. Must possess and utilize excellent people management and prioritization skills. Must be self-motivated and outdoors oriented without a high need for constant socialization or conveniences associated with larger populations or urban areas. Must be able to quickly establish and maintain professional boundaries and working relationships with direct reports and all employees working for Ticaboo Mgmt. LLC.
