Mars Electric is adding a Returned Goods Specialist to the team based out of our Mayfield Village location. We are looking for energetic candidates who are detail-oriented and reliable team players! Career growth opportunities available for self-starters and driven individuals.
The Returned Goods Specialist is responsible for working with all departments to manage the RGA, defective, and dead stock returns processing company-wide. This role reports to the Purchasing Director.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and the vendor regarding returns issues, including investigate and resolve customer problems with returns.
  • Obtain authorization from vendors for non-stock returns.
  • Enter return bids and return purchase orders in Eclipse.
  • Review and manager customer returns to ensure proper credit is given and any restocking fees are collected.
  • Participate in scheduled Slow Moving/Dead Inventory review meetings with Returns Goods Supervisor and coordinate those returns identified in that meeting.
  • Monitor RGA turnaround times and work with Purchasing to amend any issues.
  • Work to automate a report to gather this information.
  • Oversee non-stock item report to ensure that the RGA process is initiated on all non-stock returns.
  • Manage return reporting and live queues.
  • Additional responsibilities will include participation in various projects focused on process improvement and development of control plans to ensure sustained improvements.
  • Comply with Mars’ safety procedures.

Skill, Abilities, and Qualifications:
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
  • Proficiency with computers, including Mars’ Eclipse ERP system and an advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Proven ability to work independently and complete projects timely.
  • Proactive work approach.
  • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Candidates are subject to a post-offer drug screen and background screening including criminal and reference checks.
