The AFRL Information Technology Directorate (AFRL/RI), Information Systems Division (AFRL/RIS) seeks to hire a senior level, DR-04, to serve as the RIS Deputy Division Chief. This position will support the RIS Division Chief to accomplish the mission of the Information Systems Division.
Position duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in leading the conduct of basic and applied research and development of military decision support systems; including technologies associated with mission responsive information exchange, complex effects analysis, machine intelligence, mission planning, and complex adaptive systems.
- Contribute to all aspects of planning and executing a comprehensive R&D program to include investment strategy, acquisition strategy, human capital strategy, facilities and equipment management, and stakeholder relations.
- Provide support to technology integration and transition to System Program Offices and other users.
- Division-wide responsibility for organizational functions to include, but not limited to, member of the Facilities Board Working Group, self-inspection program, safety inspections, approval of public release, and approval of network access. Acts on behalf of the division chief as necessary to assure continuity in operations.

Required Qualifications
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance
- Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited academic institution
- Eligibility: 1 year of specialized experience equal to the DR-III, or GS-14 equivalent. Specialized Experience is experience directly related to the position that was performed at a level equivalent to the grade directly below the position
- This is an Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) position that requires Practitioner Level certification in Engineering & Technology Management (ETM). The selectee will have two years to meet ADPD requirements
