The Documentation and Borrower in Custody (BIC) Risk Operations Senior Manager oversees the complete process of loan documentation processing and reviews for eligibility and pledging to the Federal Reserve Bank of NY (FRBNY). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial loan awareness as well as expertise in BIC guidelines. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results. Full management responsibility of a team, which includes management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees and manages teams in ensuring timely review of loan documentation for processing and BIC eligibility utilizing published FRBNY guidelines
- Oversees daily and monthly reporting submissions and ensure controls surrounding report submissions are robust for accurate and timely submissions.
- Ensures that the workflows and controls are in place in accordance to the Credit Policy and local regulatory guidelines
- Reviews guidelines and regulations issued from time to time and ensure that gaps are remediated
- Liaises and works in partnership with stakeholders including Treasury, Business, and Legal
- Interface with internal auditors during regularly scheduled process audits.
- Produces and reviews various metrics around documentation processing and reviews and pledge values to present to senior leaders
- Acts as main point of contact for senior management
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience in Credit Operations
- Hands on experience in credit documentation review, knowledge of credit policies, guidelines and procedures surrounding extensions of credit
- Good understanding of Regulatory guidelines pertaining to Credit and Risk policy and guidelines
- Previous experience with Borrower in Custody (BIC) program or other Regulatory Reporting preferred
- Computer literacy especially in Microsoft Excel with numerical skills and attention to detail
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
