Our O.R Fellowship Program offers a dynamic experience that will positively impact your ability to provide quality, compassionate care to patients as you transition from student nurse to professional nurse. With support from the OR Educators and your preceptors you will participate in Perioperative 101 where you will learn how to scrub and circulate. You will develop clinical skills, enhance your professional development & individual strengths as you uncover your passion as an Operating Room nurse.

We currently have RN openings in Neuro, Ortho, Cardiovascular, and Organ Transplant procedures.

We currently have RN opportunities with our Same Day Surgery at Methodist Hospital! We are open 24 hr/7 days a week. No scheduled weekends. 12-24 hours of call in a 6 week period. 1 holiday a year (12 Hour shift) which can be traded. This is a fast-paced unit (Phase 2 recovery of patients), requiring assessment skills, multi-tasking and Customer relation skills. Some of the duties include: Greeting patients who come in the day of surgery, preparing them for going back to surgery, filling out the Cerner record by asking questions, preparing them for surgery by getting them dressed, wiping them down for surgery etc. drawing labs, placing IV etc.

If you are a team player and eager to learn and grow your more critical nursing skills, this Methodist Hospital PACU unit has RN opportunities for you. We recover patients from a variety of procedures and surgical areas post anesthesia. PACU serves our Level 1 Trauma services and remains open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Only 1 Holiday a year required. PACU has a full time night and weekend staff. Team members have the opportunity to self-schedule. Self-schedules are balanced to meet the unit needs if necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
