Position Summary:
Provides daily operational direction and management of the operations for the Melrose Institute. The incumbent leads, manages and evaluates aspects of patient care/outcomes, staff resources, productivity, improvement projects and interdisciplinary collaboration for patient care. Assures operational goals and objectives are obtained through the planning, implementing, and supervising of programs, procedures, systems and support personnel. Assists in the planning, research, development and implementation of new or modified techniques, methods and practices. Identifies unique or complex problem areas and develops recommendations. Requires independent action and a high degree of initiative. Education/Experience: Bachelor of Science/Arts degree in a health related field preferred; Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing (RN) with a minimum of an Associates/Diploma degree in nursing. Valid MN Registered Nursing license required Minimum of two years management and/or leadership experience required Special Knowledge/Skills/Certifications/Licenses: - Strong human relations, verbal and written communication skills are required. Ability to effectively problem solve and make decisions is important. Demonstrates knowledge of age related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients. - Must have a valid driver’s license and meet the insurability requirements relating to Park Nicollet’s motor vehicle violation criteria. - This position requires credentialing, following the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) guidelines if this employee should bill for patient care services. - This position provides psychotherapy to patients and requires Park Nicollet to comply with the Minnesota Statute 148A. - This position requires an active MN Registered Nursing license. -BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.
