In your job as a Robot Testing Technician, you are responsible for the setup, supervision and operation of our robots. Working on-call, you will drive our robots to various worksites, prepare and run them for grass-cutting operations! As someone who enjoys the outdoors, you love being out and about and getting to travel to different locations for work. With basic knowledge of robotics and maintenance, you are capable of troubleshooting basic technical issues in order to maintain the efficiency of robot operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Remote control of robots for different kinds of maintenance including solar field rough cutting and trimming
- Loading and unloading of trailers and trucks
- Supervision of robots over several hours of operation
- Conducting Autonomous testing
- Conducting basic robotic repair and/or troubleshooting technical issues
- Assist with equipment maintenance
Required Skills/Experience:
- High school diploma and post-secondary degree as an asset
- Valid driver's license + clean driving abstract
- Experience with robotic troubleshooting/assembly as an asset
- Ability to work outdoors in various conditions including freezing temperatures, snow, heat, humidity and rain
- Physical ability to walk for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and small engine equipment
- Ability to work in the AM and PM, including on weekends
