Job Role Summary

This position is responsible for preparing and placing bait as part of systemic rodent extermination activities.

Essential Duties

Responsibility 1: 20%

  • Prepare bait and other extermination device.


Responsibility 2: 40%

  • Place bait in rat infested homes, buildings, alleys, lots, etc.


Responsibility 3: 20%

  • Enter data associated with abatement activities into Accela software


Responsibility 4: 10%

  • Examine baited areas in a frequent basis to monitor extermination process


Responsibility 5: 5%

  • Provide residents with information on the extermination and rodent control process


Responsibility 6: 5%

  • Clean and maintain vehicles and rodent equipment


Responsibility 7:

  • Participate in public health emergency preparedness exercises and in the response to public health emergencies, as directed
  • Participate in a minimum of two HOPE events totaling a minimum of eight (8) hours annually
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • No special education/training required
  • Valid Indiana driver's license

  • Lift, carry, etc., with arms and legs: 20%
