We are hiring for the position of an ROV Manager to join our team to direct the expansion of its Remote Operated Vehicle division. The successful candidate must have an extensive background in ROV operations and maintenance as well as be knowledgeable in associated technologies. This person will report to the company’s VP of Business Services.
Position Essential Job Functions
General Duties:
- The tracking, maintenance, and operation of the ROV fleet, sonar systems, and other ancillary equipment
- Supervision of personnel assigned to the ROV division
- Provide ROV operational support to other regions and divisions
- Maintain effective communication with leadership
- Preparing job estimates
- Planning, scheduling, and execution of ROV and related work
- Work with Project Accountants to track and report job costs
- Onsite support of ongoing projects and preparation of field reports
- Identify opportunities and new customers to expand Global’s market share
- Developing and implementing process improvements to maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace
ROV Administration:
- Work with Global Diving and Salvage engineers and managers to update technical specifications and drawings based on modifications and upgrades to the ROV fleet;
- Reviewing manufacturer’s manuals, identifying appropriate replacement parts when needed, and requesting quotes to support purchase orders;
- Ensure all technical, operational, maintenance, and safety documentation is complete and updated if any changes are made;
- Complete all project documentation, including timesheets, job-related logs, and safety meeting forms;
- Provide recommendations to Global Diving
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
Education
High School diploma
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in ROV operations and maintenance
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in field operations and logistics
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of SAAB Seaeye vehicles
Knowledge/Skills
Must have verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with internal and external clients, manufacturers, and suppliers;
- Ability to work with a team and independently without supervision;
- Ability to proactively investigate and identify issues, and offer solutions;
- Ability to lift 25-50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand, walk, push pull, squat, crouch, bend, stoop, crawl, kneel, climb stairs and ladders, repetitive reaching, and repetitive hand use.
- Ability to meet DOT, ADCI, USCG, or HAZMAT Physical & additional fitness ability requirements for the position in which you are filling;
- Current driver’s license and acceptable driving record;
- Ability to complete Global Diving & Salvage mandatory training and other required programs to support the Marine Technology Program;
- Ability to read, understand and comply with all Global Diving & Salvage policies, applicable governmental regulations, and as they relate to their qualifications or performance while engaging in company operations.
Work Location: Seattle, WA
Qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. The company will not provide a work visa or relocation for this position.
- Global Diving is a Federal Contractor and will comply with the Federal mandates as well as client requirements related to COVID vaccinations. If, and when, the Federal mandate goes into effect, employees will be required to provide proof of vaccination.
Physical / Mental Requirements
- Ability to lift 25-50 lbs. Must be able to withstand the following for up to 8-12 hours per day in all weather conditions (Sun, Rain, Sleet, and Snow): stand, walk, push, pull, squat, crouch, bend, stoop, crawl, kneel, climb stairs and ladders; repetitive reaching, repetitive hand use
- Must be available to work variable shifts – day and night.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation: Shop $40 - $53
Field $48 - $64
The actual hourly rate offered will be determined based on multiple factors which include relevant skills and experience.
