Job Title: Safety and Yard Supervisor

Job Description: Trash Taxi of Georgia is looking for safety conscious, courteous and hardworking individual who has operational and safety leadership experience in the waste industry to join our family residential waste hauling business located in Acworth, GA as a member of our support staff

Duties, Responsibilities, Working Conditions: In this role, you will have the responsibilities for employee training, coaching and documentation to fully comply with all required DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA requirements. Including leading regular safety meetings, proper employee documentation, PPE, coaching safety behaviors, and incident investigation and reporting. In addition to safety responsibilities, this position will oversee the daily and miscellaneous needs of the yard and physical property of Trash Taxi. This includes working with and supervising a small team to clean, repair, maintain, and track cans, dumpsters, shop, office buildings, etc. This is a physically demanding job that requires you to perform a variety of tasks in all weather extremes including extreme hot or cold, wet or dry conditions. The ideal candidate must have a valid GA Commercial Drivers License with a clean MVR, be willing to obtain a DOT medical card (physical), have some safety certifications, and pass a pre-employment drug test.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• At least 5 years experience in waste industry, 3 years with safety responsibilities
• Valid Commercial Drivers License, clean MVR
• Proven communication skills and ability to influence, lead and coach
• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, ANSI standards and regulations
• Safety Certifications such as: National Safety Council, OSHA 10/30, OSHA Recordkeeping, Smith System Instructor, CSHM, Training in DOT Regulations
• Team player with positive attitude
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug screen and DOT physical
