Job description

We are a manufacturer of precision machined metal components. Position is responsible for all EHS related duties for a 100,000+ square foot facility housing 300+ machines. This position reports to the General Manager and has regular interaction with the corporate EHS team.

1. Develop, implement, manage and maintain effective environmental, health and safety programs and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and corporate policies and procedures.

2. Coordinate the administration of the Workers’ Compensation Program.

3. Conducts accident/near miss investigations.

4. Performs annual internal audits of the facility’s performance against established EHS goals.

5. Assist in the development, implementation and administration of required environmental and property conservation programs and procedures.

6. Assist in the review of materials for environmental consideration prior to initial plant use. Oversee the storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals and other materials that impact the environment.

7. Prepare and submit safety and environmental reports to regulatory agencies as required.

8. Act as liaison between local emergency response personnel, state and federal officials, and corporate staff personnel.

9. Maintain files and records according to government regulations and internal policies.

10. Maintain appropriate levels of safety supplies and oversees the First Aid Room.

11. Leads the Safety Committee and conducts regular meetings.

12. Coordinates training for First Aid Responders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
