Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage Sales activity for Megger Baker Instruments in the determined territory , reporting to Megger national sales manager. Duties to include managing direct industrial sales, distributor sales representatives, and their development.
  • Generate sales in designated territory to meet sales goals and targets.
  • Communicate with customers to create product demonstration opportunities, perform product demonstrations, follow up with potential clients, close sales, and customer after-sales support.
  • Demonstrate equipment at the customers site, class room demonstrations as well as testing in the field. Educate the customer on product operation as well as theory (training provided).
  • Be the primary contact point for customers (phone, email, direct visit), answering technical questions related to operation, basic data analysis, connecting them with internal experts.
  • Attend trade shows and workshops for the promotion of Megger Baker Instruments, work the booth as well as present papers and technical presentations (technical product training provided).
  • Backup basic training in the field as well as formal classes at Megger Baker Instruments Fort Collins.
  • Support the Meggers Environmental, Health, and Safety Policy as an integral part of daily work.
  • Routinely follow up opportunities by telephone and email, and manage customer management system, CRM database (SAP C4C)
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years technical sales experience preferred.
  • Technical knowledge of motors and motor testing is desirable.
  • Comfortable speaking in front of large groups.
  • Competent in using Microsoft business programs, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Travel Requirements:

  • Approximately 50% travel or as needed to fulfill sales expectations.
