Who we are looking for:

Atkore, a recent recipient of a Great Place to Work© certification, is currently searching for a Sawyer I (3rd shift, 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.) to be based out of Pueblo, CO. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, this person will be responsible for the quality and accurate cuts of finished conduit immediately after production.

What you’ll do:

• Receive the finished pipe from the extractor and cut ends to specification
• Prepare the pipe ends by affixing seals or rings and grinding
• Assemble finished pipe for shipping including labelling and stacking
• Prepare pipe samples for daily testing
• Prepare the resin mix and keep production functioning without interruption
• Keep accurate production records, including the finished product type, weight before and after cuts, and scrap rate
• Assist with quality control

What you’ll bring:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Two year's previous experience is preferred
• Good understanding of math skills required for quick and accurate counting, calculations, and measurements including radius, inside and outside diameter, and length
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
• Adaptable to changes in the work environment
• Comfortable with multiple competing demands
• Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner
• Able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted

Within 3 months, you’ll:

• Complete any required training
• Have developed relationships with key stakeholders for this role
• Be well-versed in the importance of your role to daily operations.

The pay for this position is $19/hour.
