Job description
The Scheduling Specialist maintains detailed schedules for assigned providers, inpatient and outpatient. Schedule all surgeries for those providers. Verify insurance benefits and obtain precerts, collect prepayments, have consents signed and instruct patients of pre- and post-surgery responsibilities. Post surgery charges into Allscripts with correct CPT and ICD-10 codes. Communicate with surgery location and make sure all required equipment needed is at surgery location at correct time. This job requires efficient organization and a positive attitude.Requirements
High school diploma - Preferred
1 to 2 years' scheduling or referral specialist experience - Required
